For the first time in its 115 year history, world-renowned Le Cordon Bleu, is offering the Le Grand Diplôme UK Scholarship Award from its new international flagship school of culinary arts and UK headquarters at Bloomsbury Square in the heart of London. Starting in 2012, one passionate 16 to 19 year old student will be awarded a life-changing opportunity worth more than £30,000.
The nine month scholarship will incorporate six courses including Basic, Intermediate and Superior Cuisine and Basic, Intermediate and Superior Pâtisserie. Learning culinary disciplines could lead to a career not just as a chef, but as an executive chef, a restaurant manager, a food critic, a cake designer, a cookbook author, entrepreneur, or even a private chef to the rich and famous; these are just some of the great career opportunities.
For the nine months, the scholarship winner will be provided with accommodation in London.
For the chance to be considered for this Scholarship, applicants must register online and post a short video clip on the Le Cordon Bleu UK Scholarship Award website (no longer than one and half minutes and no larger than 500Mb) showing, what they know about the Le Cordon Bleu and what inspires them. The winner will be chosen based on their passion and determination, previous culinary experience is not a necessity.
